Establishment announcement

On 18 August 2022, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), issued Letters Patent, which established the Royal Commission into the Robodebt Scheme. Ms Catherine Holmes AC SC has been appointed as the Royal Commissioner.

The Letters Patent set out the Royal Commissioner’s terms of reference.

On 7 July 2023 Commissioner Holmes delivered her report and recommendations to
His Excellency the Governor-General.
