Submissions

1099 total submissions received

Thank you

Submissions have now closed. The Royal Commission received a total of 1099 submissions from 21 September 2022 through to 2 June 2023. The Commission has listed in the Report all public submissions assessed as relevant to the Terms of Reference.

Thank you to everyone who made a submission to the Royal Commission into the Robodebt Scheme. The experiences, insights and expertise shared through submissions by individuals and entities have assisted the Commission in having a more complete understanding of the impacts of Robodebt, as well as how such a scheme may be prevented from being introduced in the future.

The Royal Commission sincerely appreciates the time and effort dedicated by each individual or entity in making a submission.

A submission to the Commission may attract the protections of the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2013, depending on the circumstances. It is recommended that any person who seeks to obtain the protections of that Act obtain independent legal advice on that question.

Publication of submissions

The Commission has published all published submissions that were both relevant to the Commission’s Terms of Reference and suitable to be made public.

Submissions were reviewed on a case-by-case basis, including any accompanying material received at the time of submission, any correspondence or supplementary documentation, or any information gained from personal engagement with the submitter.

In determining whether to publish a submission, consideration was given to the preferences conveyed when the submission was made, as well as the appropriate redaction of sensitive information. Some public submissions could not be published for legal or technical reasons.
